Creative Director
Todd started his comedy career as a stand-up comedian in 1989. He has performed over 5,000 live shows around the world, had multiple appearances on CBS’s “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” written jokes for Pulitzer Prize winner Henry Kissinger and blogged for The Huffington Post. Over his career he’s been featured on for a variety of television shows and written for other comedians, politicians and game show hosts. He’s also sold the options on a couple of original screenplays.
Writing Staff
We have written monologue jokes for Conan O’Brien, Jay Leno and Chris Rock. We’ve added laughs to acceptance speeches for Kurt Vonnegut and Henry Kissinger. We’ve written sketches for HBO and Comedy Central.
As an accomplished writer and stand-up comic, Adam’s work has been featured in the books Joke Soup and The Funny Pages as well as in Simon & Schuster’s ‘Mortified’. He has written for The LA Weekly and The New York Times and his films have won distinction at both the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival and Montreal’s Just for Laughs. One of Adam’s favorite accomplishments is writing for the annual Radio and Television Correspondents’s Association Dinner in Washington, D.C., which he got to watch on TV as Joe Biden and Orrin Hatch laughed at his jokes. Adam doubles as both a Creative Director and social media specialist, pinging and tweeting the latest updates with a comedic twist.
Tom Agna
Tom is a two-time Emmy Award winning writer. He has written for Chris Rock, Conan O’Brien and Larry The Cable Guy. He also wrote for FOX’s “Mad TV” and “The Rosie O’Donnell Show.” He has performed on all the network late night shows.
Bill Dwyer
Bil is a national headliner with numerous TV standup performances, including a half hour “Comedy Central Presents” and multiple appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” He’s also a frequent talking-head commentator on MTV and VH1’s “I Love The 70’s-80’s- 90’s” shows.
Bobby Tessel
Bobby is one of the few comics to have performed on both, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “The Late Show with David Letterman”. He has also written for “Jay Leno’s Tonight Show” and Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update”.
Gary Lucy
Gary is an Emmy Award winning comedy writer and punch-up artist, known for his work with Jimmy Kimmel, Kathy Griffin, Conan O’Brien, Bob Saget, Craig Kilbourn. Corporate clients include Nike, Dish Network and Toyota.
Karen Rontowski
Karen is a widely respected national headliner, known for her sharp, clever, imaginative jokes. She is one of the few women to perform multiple times on “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
Scott Disharoon
Scott has a diversified background producing theater, film, and television. His credits include “Aurora Borealis,” starring Joshua Jackson, Donald Sutherland, Juliette Lewis and Louise Fletcher, “The L.A. Riot Spectacular,” “Illusion,” the dark comedy “Critics” and “Cold Sweat.” He has also supervised adaptations of novels for the big screen and has developed several feature films and television properties. Theater credits include the Tony award winning production of Long Days Journey Into Night on Broadway.
Toby Muresianu
A former engineer adept at writing jokes about technical and political topics, Toby has performed standup in 16 countries and written for Yahoo!, MSN and HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher. He is currently a staff writer at Top Story! Weekly, a three-time Del Close Award winning sketch comedy show at Improv Olympic in Los Angeles, and a contributer to NewsRevue, the world’s longest running live comedy show, in London.
With over 15 years experience in sales and marketing for start-up companies, including skills in blogging, copywriting, SEO, social media, and coaching sales teams, Tre is The Humor Writers’ Business Development Director.
